BabyKeys — Privacy Policy

Last updated:

In short: BabyKeys collects no data and transmits no data. There is no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking, and the app works entirely offline.

Who this policy comes from

This policy covers the application BabyKeys (Android package com.growingkeys.babykeys), published by Yuliia Bazko, a sole trader (JDG) registered in Poland, trading as Growing Keys (“we”, “us”). It applies to every copy of the app, however it was obtained — Google Play, the Apple App Store or any other channel we use.

Questions about this policy: support@growingkeys.com.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, receive, store or transmit any personal data about you or your child. In particular, the app does not collect:

  • names, dates of birth, ages, e-mail addresses or telephone numbers;
  • device identifiers, advertising IDs, IP addresses or location;
  • usage statistics, session logs, crash reports or behavioural analytics;
  • contacts, photographs, audio or any other content from your device.

The app has no accounts and no sign-up. It makes no network requests of its own: apart from the app store’s own purchase screen, BabyKeys does not connect to the internet at all, and it works with networking switched off.

What stays on your device

The app saves the following locally, in its own private storage:

  • Settings — interface language, play-time limit, which games and sets are enabled, sound and vibration preferences.
  • Voice recordings made by a parent, if a parent chooses to record them.
  • Photographs a parent has added as in-game backgrounds, kept as reduced-size copies.

None of this is sent anywhere. It never leaves the device, we have no access to it, and it disappears completely when the app is uninstalled.

Microphone

BabyKeys can name the objects in the game in a familiar voice. To make that possible, a parent may record short words in the parental section of the app.

Microphone access is requested only at the moment a parent opens that section, never during ordinary play; on some platforms the operating system may show its own microphone prompt earlier, when the app starts its sound system, but nothing is recorded until a parent presses record. Recordings are written into the app’s private storage as ordinary sound files and serve one purpose: to be played back inside the game on this device. They are not uploaded, not analysed and not shared, and no speech recognition of any kind is performed on them.

Photographs

A parent may add a few photographs to use as game backgrounds. The app does not request access to your photo library and holds no gallery permission. The parent chooses one specific file through the operating system’s own file picker, and the app receives only that single file. A reduced-size copy is stored in the app’s private storage; the original is left untouched.

Permissions the app uses

  • Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) — only for parent voice recording, as described above.
  • Vibration (VIBRATE) — tactile feedback on taps, which can be reduced or switched off in the settings.

No other permissions are requested: no camera, no location, no contacts, no storage or gallery access.

Advertising and analytics

There is no advertising of any kind in BabyKeys — no banners, no interstitials, no rewarded video, no cross-promotion, no advertising SDKs. There is no analytics or attribution SDK, no crash-reporting service and no tracking pixel. We build no profiles and perform no behavioural targeting. Nothing in the app is personalised on the basis of data about its user.

Children

BabyKeys is made for children of roughly one to three years old, and it is built so that no information whatsoever is gathered about them.

We comply with the United States Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), with the requirements for children’s data under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, with Google Play’s Families policies and with the Apple App Store’s requirements for apps directed at children. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we never knowingly collect personal information from a child; and verifiable parental consent cannot be required for a collection that does not take place.

The app contains no social features, no chat, no user content shared with anyone, no external web content and no embedded browser or video service. Two things can hand over to another app: the store’s purchase screen, and an e-mail to our support address, which a parent writes in their own mail application. Both sit behind a parental gate that is passed by solving a multiplication and choosing the right answer out of four.

Purchases

BabyKeys is free to use and offers a single optional one-time purchase that unlocks the remaining games and sets. Purchases sit behind the same parental gate.

Payment is handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see, receive or store card numbers, billing addresses or any other payment details; the store tells the app only whether the purchase is active. Those companies process the payment under their own policies: Google Privacy Policy, Apple Privacy Policy.

Sharing with third parties

We share nothing, because we hold nothing. No data is sold, rented, disclosed or transferred to advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers or anyone else. The app contains no third-party SDKs beyond the store’s own billing library. Since no data is collected, no data crosses any border.

Keeping and deleting data

Because everything is stored on your device alone, it is entirely under your control:

  • voice recordings and added photographs can be deleted one by one in the parental settings;
  • settings can be reset in the same place;
  • uninstalling the app erases all of it, without remainder.

We keep no copies, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side and no deletion request for you to file.

Your rights

Data-protection law gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the laws of several United States jurisdictions add rights to know about and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We process no personal information, so there is nothing to disclose, correct, erase or export, and there is no sale or sharing to opt out of. If you wish to exercise a right in any case, or simply to check, write to support@growingkeys.com and we will answer.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Ours is the Polish one — Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO), uodo.gov.pl — and you may equally complain to the authority of the country you live in.

Security

The strongest protection we can offer is to hold none of your data, and that is the design we chose. What the app does store stays inside its private storage area, protected by the operating system’s sandbox and by the lock on your device.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes. Since we collect no data, no change can retroactively affect data gathered earlier — there is none.

This website

Everything above describes the app. The page you are reading is a plain static site: no cookies, no analytics, no tracking. It keeps one thing in your browser — the language you chose, under the key bk-lang — so that the page opens in that language next time; clearing your browser data removes it. Like any website it is delivered by a hosting provider, which keeps ordinary short-lived server logs, including IP addresses, in order to serve pages and resist abuse. We do not use those logs to identify anyone and we build nothing from them.

If you write to the support address, we of course receive that message and keep it while we are answering you, then delete it. That is the only situation in which we hold anything about you at all.
